It is true that ozone is an effective oxidizer that, in sufficient concentration, can remove many odors and biohazards. It is important to remember, though, that in those same concentrations, ozone has proven to be hazardous to human health.

The EPA, as well as many other unbiased health and environmental agencies, has stated that ozone generators should never be used for cleaning the air in an indoor, occupied space.
